How to use

1. Place the applicator on a perfectly flat test surface. Adjust the squeegee so that the required gap is twice the amount of wet film thickness required.
2. In front of the applicator, pour a small amount of test sample onto the end plate at a slow, even rate of about 1-2 cm per second.
3. Move the instrument over the surface until all of the liquid has been applied and or any remaining liquid has been removed from the end of the coating path.
4. The exact ratio of wet film thickness to any coater gap depends on the material used, the viscosity and texture of the liquid.
5. The actual wet film to be applied should be adjusted to your desired thickness using a thickness gauge to adjust the gap.

Maintenance & Repair

1. Clean the instrument with a suitable solvent immediately after each use.
2.The ends of the spatula move through the groove, which must remain free of test sample material at all times.
